I have an undergraduate student in Mexico who wants to come work with me
here in Florida this summer on a stick insect related project. We were
waiting on one of her scholarships but she didn't get it. Any
recommendations on other scholarships/fellowships/funding she can get on
sort of short notice (July-Aug would be the ideal time for her to come)?
Sorry for the short notice. We were hoping she'd get the one
scholarship - but either way we'd like to get the project going this
summer, and while she is out of school and can come. The future
prospects of this research are sort of pending various situations and I
don't know if we can do it next year. I could help pay for her flight
and some living expenses, but I think it would be good if she got an
official scholarship for her school and VISA purposes (honestly though I
don't know much about VISA's or what it takes for foreign students to
come).
