Job Description: The intern will work help with a citizen-science project studying one of the last three remaining populations of western gray squirrels in the state. The intern will help to train and coordinate volunteer citizen scientists. You will collect, organize, enter and analyze the data collected by volunteers. You will also conduct your own fieldwork in the coniferous forests of the North Cascades. Travel will be required to various locations in the Methow Valley Duration: The position will be for 5 months (June 20 to November 20). Compensation: A food and expense stipend of up to $40 per day will be granted to the intern, depending on financial need and experience. A bedroom is available adjacent to the PBI office with kitchen/bathroom facilities located in the office. Travel reimbursement will be granted based on mileage traveled to western gray squirrel field sites with a personal vehicle.
