Finca Mono Verde (FMV), a new permaculture farm in coastal Ecuador, is searching for motivated and passionate interns to help finalize and implement a land use plan for the 25 acre property and create demonstration projects alongside the Director of Operations. Interns can work on current projects or develop specific personal projects, depending on their specific interests and time frame. Interns will be encouraged to participate in community activities and help with community projects as well - especially at the community library. Both Spanish and English are spoken on the farm.
Please email Andrea, the Director of Project Development, at [email protected] if you are interested. FMV was started in 2010 by two ex Peace Corps volunteers who have over 6 years combined experience doing conservation projects in the community of Tabuga and in the Manabi province of Ecuador. FMV's mission is to demonstrate and promote the use of permaculture practices for the betterment of our community and environment and serve as a liaison for sustainable development opportunities. Through experimentation, education and participation we hope to work with our neighbors, national students and international visitors to demonstrate the feasibility of sustainable agriculture practices. For more information please visit www.fincamonoverde.com. Additional opportunities are available in the area.
