Please consider submitting an abstract to the following session at the
American Geophysical Union (AGU) 2011 Fall Meeting (December 5-9, 2011, San
Francisco, CA):

H08: Hydrology and Biology of Stream Networks in Transition Between
Ephemeral and Perennial Conditions.

Description: Many streams in arid to semi-arid regions are ephemeral to
intermittent, yet surprisingly little information is available on the
coupled hydrology and biology of these ecosystems. This information is
particularly important for management of arid and semi-arid regions within
the context of urbanization and climate change, drivers that are both likely
to alter the hydrology and biology of these systems. This session compares
and contrasts ephemeral to intermittent stream structure and function to
perennial flowing streams. Ecological, hydrological, geomorphic, and/or
biogeochemical topics on natural and urbanizing ephemeral to perennial
streams in arid to semi-arid regions are invited.

The abstract submission deadline is August 4th, 2011.
