Dear Ecologgers,

I am organizing a session in the XIII Brazilian Meeting of Limnology in
September, focused on challenges and opportunities for establishing operational
remote sensing programs to monitor inland waters in Brazil. "Monitoring" is
broadly defined (water quality, water availability, flooding, etc.), but the
keyword is "operational"; there is plenty of academic research on the subject
in Brazil, but not much gets implemented operationally in continuing, long term
programs.

As part of my presentation, I would like to show examples of operational
programs around the world, as well as contact the people involved to know about
their experiences in implementing and managing such programs. In this regard, I
would really appreciate suggestions of programs of this nature and/or people
involved with the subject that you migh be aware.

Thank you,

Thiago
