Colleagues are invited to consider attending and presenting at the AGU Fall
meeting session:

*B83. Rapid Vegetation Shifts in Drylands: An Ecohydrological and Ecogeomorphic
Perspective*
[Biogeosciences/Global Environmental Change/Hydrology]
Drylands around the world are experiencing rapid vegetation shifts resulting
from complex interactions between climate and disturbances. These vegetation
shifts and associated ecohydrological and ecogeomorphic changes often cause
land degradation with implications on food security and environmental quality.
Understanding the drivers and implications of these changes is fundamental to
understanding the dynamics of land degradation. This session focuses on
empirical, theoretical and modeling studies on the ecohydrological and
ecogeomorphic implications of rapid vegetation shifts in drylands, addressing
diverse perspectives of degradation, linking geomorphology, hydrology, ecology
and soil science.
