Being a very semi-expert on Poison Frogs, these Bats seem to be able or have 
learned? the difference between Frogs that are toxic and those that are not. I 
believe it also features the Professor that started Bat Conservation

Should you want to visit the amazing country of Panama, our Director is Guido 
Berguido out of Panama City. He now has property in Gamboa. I can't say enough 
about Guido and some of you have met him. Certainly one of the finest 
Naturalist Guides in Panama. Just Google Guido and you will see what I mean. I 
have some high-end journal articles about some of his work in 
Panama....Biotropica, etc. and will let you know what Science people have to 
say about him.

VOLUNTEER FIELD ASSISTANTS (2 positions available) needed for October 1, 2011 
to June 1, 2012 
(dates flexible but minimum 4 months) to assist with a study on the foraging 
behavior of the tropical 
frog-eating bat, Trachops cirrhosus. Work will be conducted at Smithsonian 
Tropical Research 
Institute facilities in Gamboa, PANAMA. No prior experience is required, but 
applicants must be 
comfortable working at night. Work will include mistnetting bats, behavioral 
experiments, and bat 
husbandry.  Pre-exposure rabies vaccines are required. Assistants are expected 
to work 5 days a 
week with 2 days off. I will cover housing and $200 per month for food, but no 
salary is available. If
