Hello all, I thought I would take a minute to express my thanks for the continual barrage of informative posts, internships, post-doc opportunities, and general announcements from this listserv. I've been finding it very helpful to have this resource as I try to narrow down my interests and find a set of programs/researchers to (hopefully) work with.
Is anyone out there doing ecological restoration work in the context of urban areas, or more specifically, restoration work that is partially research focused on ecological perturbation and partially focused on how to get 'people'(society- for lack of a better word) to enter into different relationships with degraded or restored landscapes? I'd like to do grad work that realistically approaches the environmental problems we're facing; not neglecting the increasing strains of consumption and land use changes. Any insights, even just websites or general information on programs, would be useful. Again thanks so much for all the info. cheers, Cameron Healy
