There is a new textbook in Environmental Science that has come out in 2011 by
Friedland et al.:
"Environmental Science: Foundations and Applications"

This book is unique in that it emphasizes critical thinking and quantitative
reasoning, takes a balanced approach to environmental issues, and inspires
students with the progress of environmental science instead of completely
depressing them with gloom and doom. Armed with a solid understanding of the
science, students are objectively presented with the most current data on
environmental topics and allowed to draw their own conclusions.

Dear ECOLOG Members
I am going to teach "Environmental Science" for Fall semester in a Community
College. It is my first time to teach this course and I would like to use your
expereinces to select a reference book. Would you please introduce me a useful
book, which I could use and introduce to my students.
Thank you very much in advance for your support.
Truly Yours
