Please join us for the 3rd Annual Argonne Soil Metagenomics Workshop in
Bloomingdale, IL October 5-7, 2011. 

REMINDER: The last day for early registration is this Friday, August 19.

Early registration is $295, and includes 
- all oral and poster sessions, 
- a forum on the nuts and bolts of implementing soil metagenomics projects, 
- plenary dinner on Wednesday evening, and 
- breakfast and lunch on Thursday and Friday.

The workshop will bring together an interdisciplinary group of soil
ecologists, molecular microbiologists, and computational scientists to push
the boundaries of soil metagenomics. This year’s theme is “Microbial
function in a changing world.” Sessions will include 
- Edaphic Drivers of Microbial Function, 
- Climate-Microbe Feedbacks, 
- Spatial Structure of Microbial Communities Across Scales, 
- Temporal Dynamics, 
- Integrating Ecological Theory in Metagenomics Projects, and 
- Plant-Microbe Interactions. 

We are accepting late-breaking poster abstracts until August 31. 
Entries to the student poster competition will be accepted until September 2.
