Maybe the Naomi Oreskes (2004) *Science* essay entitled: "Beyond the ivory
tower: The scientific consensus on climate change"? (Science 36: 1686).
Stats from this paper were used in Al Gore's *An Inconvenient Truth* showing
how the published questioning of anthropogenic climate warming is rather
common in the popular press but extraordinarily rare in
the scientific literature.
