Dear Ecolog community, I am trying to put together a rough collection of light trap survey data from Madagascar (with emphasis on hawkmoth surveys) for various locations and points in time. Essentially I am trying to gain an idea of relative abundance of various species and if there might be a risk of pollinator loss for wild populations of endangered orchids such as Angraecum sesquipidale.
If you have data that is available please let me know. In an ideal world it would also be useful to include the following metadata associated with the survey such as: - Date range of light trapping - Hours of observation - Lat-Long Coordinates - Did the survey include mark-recapture or observation only - Focus of the survey (eg all moths, long-tongued hawkmoths only, specific species, etc...) - Name(s) of observer(s) - How to cite the data - If the dataset is publicly available Any other datasets that include information on things like proboscis length or larval host-plant association would also be appreciated. Thank you for any information or datasets that you are willing to share. Best wishes, Melissa Whitman University of Nebraska-Lincoln [email protected]
