The Department of Atmospheric Sciences at the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology invites applications for a full-time (12 month/year) position as Department Head at the Professor level. The Department offers an M.S. in Atmospheric Sciences and participates in the interdisciplinary Ph.D. in Atmospheric and Environmental Sciences and the Atmospheric Sciences track of the B.S. in Interdisciplinary Sciences. The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in earth or atmospheric sciences or a related discipline, and a record of scholarship, teaching, and service sufficient to warrant a tenured appointment.
