I'm would like to collect eggs of the spreadwing damselfly Lestes rectangularis. I have identified sites with breeding adults, but I'm not sure what to look for when collecting the eggs. The adults oviposite on emerged vegetation (e.g., cattails). Does anyone have images of cattails with damselfly oviposition sites on them, or tips for successfully collecting vegetation with eggs? Thank you!
