Hi Wayne, It is possible that the manifesto has been caught in between three worlds. In the world of ecology and conservation the article is not citable in most research papers, which deal with very specialized literature. I the world of sociology, which may study the phenomenon of environmental activism, the journal Biodiversity is unlikely to be known or read at all. Finally, in the world of activism itself, daily activities do not include publishing articles and thus citation of the manifesto, although it may have been read by people involved.
