I have 24 variables but I have some methodological concerns about how to do that. Using this 24 variables, I need to preselect a number of this variables using a pre-test (like PCA) to select some variables which, after to use them in R GLM formula? or to use the "step" function with Chi Square and to let the program to select and modelling using all 24 variables being to reach to the best AIC model?
