The Louisiana Universities Marine Consortium (LUMCON) seeks a cadre of Postdoctoral Associates (2), Graduate Student (1), Research Associate/Assistants (2), Data Manager (1), and Web Developer (1) to help with research programs that investigate the Effects of the BP Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill on Coastal Ecosystems of the Northern Gulf of Mexico. Drs. Nancy Rabalais and Brian Roberts seek several scientists to join a large, multi- institution team of researchers studying the impacts of the oil spill on salt marshes and coastal environments. Studies include differentiation of coastal ocean oxygen and phytoplankton dynamics from pre- and post-spill conditions, the biogeochemistry of oil-affected marsh ecosystems, benthic studies of oil- affected marsh ecosystems and related wetland gas exchange.
