Dear All, I am trying to run an aquarium experiment which will test the effects of nutrients on brown algae.
We would like to reduce the concentrations of NO2, NO3, NO4 and PO4 to very low levels and then add set concentrations. Unfortunately the seawater around the coast is very high in nutrients. My questions were 1. What are the best methods of removing nutrients from seawater, costs etc? 2. What are the best methods of removing nutrients from tap water, costs, etc? 3. What are the pros and cons of using artificial seawater for aquarium experiments? I have read lots of information about this topic but couldn;t find any satisfactory answers. Thanks Beth Strain
