Application Software Developer The Applications Software Developer provides ecological simulation programming and software engineering for a program of spatial wildlife habitat modeling, landscape modeling and Geographic information Systems (GIS) activities that impact a wide variety of park issues. Ecological modeling will primarily use Java and C++ languages incorporating large, time series files in a distributed processing environment. The developer will assist in developing approaches to deal with unusual programming problems, or with novel or undeveloped aspects of using spatially-explicit models and large time-series applications.
This is a 1 to 4 year (max) Term position with Everglades National Park, South Florida Natural Resources Center in Homestead, FL.
