*Department of Biological Sciences* The Department of Biological Sciences at Mississippi State University invites applications for 9-month tenure-track faculty positions at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor, beginning August 16, 2012. We seek applicants from the following areas (those with specific expertise noted in parentheses are particularly encouraged to apply): *microbial ecology* (environmental microbiology, ecosystem ecology, host-microbe interactions); *molecular genetics* (epigenetics, RNA metabolism); *developmental biology* (animal systems); *community ecology* (strong quantitative background). Each successful candidate will be expected to develop an active, externally-funded research program that includes directing M.S. and Ph.D. students, and teaching courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Minimum qualifications: Ph.D. in a related biological sciences field and relevant postdoctoral experience.
