Our specific opportunity focuses on the effects of permafrost thaw on C cycling in interior Alaska, with particular emphasis on permafrost microbiology. This position will be based in Menlo Park, CA and will begin on or after October 2012. Mendenhall Fellows are appointed to the USGS for two years and receive full salary and benefits at the GS-12 level. Research funds are also included in the proposal.
