Osa Conservation (OC) is a nonprofit conservation
organization founded to protect the Osa
Peninsula's globally significant biodiversity
which comprises a large amount of Costa Rica's
wildlife. We actively conserve more than 4,200
acres of Costa Rican rainforest through direct
land stewardship, and operate two facilities,
Piro Biological Station and the Greg Gund Conservation Center.
Our facilities offer a perfect place to conduct
research and introduce foreign students into
tropical ecology. Our extensive trail network
covers diverse ecosystems including primary and
secondary rainforest, coastal habitats, including
important nesting beaches for Olive Ridley and
Green Pacific turtles, and numerous freshwater
resources. Even when we already have a group of
researchers with permanent project at Piro
Biological Station, there are still a lot of
taxonomic groups and ideas to explore in this young biological station.
With all my respect, I would like to invite you
to check our website

to learn more about the work we are doing, our
facilities and the options to get involve with
us. Please, do not hesitate in contact me if you have any questions,
Sincerely,
