I am looking for a metal detector to use to detect rebar in sandy soils. The rebar is marking the corner of permanent plots, is approximately 18 inches long, and may or may not be still exposed on the surface (due to sand accretion etc.). I would like to buy the cheapest model possible, while still assuring it will be reliable and durable for field use. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!
