1. does anyone know if there exists the algorithm to converse soil volumetric moisture into backscattering coefficient? thanks. 2. i read that people use 1 meter pin profile-meter to measure surface roughness and then use Matlab software to extract the RMS height (s) and correlation length (l). but i really don't know how to do it... i am not familiar with the pin meter nor do i know how to extract s and l with Matlab...is there some easy way to measure surface roughness? thanks. thanks a lot. best wishes.
