Assistant Professor of Anatomy of Renewable Materials

The College of Forestry at Oregon State University invites applications 
for the position of Assistant Professor of Anatomy of Renewable Materials, 
Department of Wood Science & Engineering. The position becomes available 
January 1, 2013 (an earlier date may be negotiable). This is a 0.75 FTE, 
12-month or full-time 1.0 FTE, 9-month tenure-track position (at the 
discretion of the Department Head). Incumbent is encouraged to increase 
his/her base appointment/salary by seeking supplemental funding through 
other activities outside of their approved position description. 
Responsibilities include teaching and conducting research in areas such as 
anatomy as it relates to material properties or relationships between stem 
function and anatomy. The ability to collaborate across disciplines to 
bring the tools of anatomy to bear on research questions in material
sciences and engineering is essential.

Minimum requirements include, but are not limited to, a PhD in botany, 
wood science, materials science or a related science field completed prior 
to the position start date.
