Greetings from SACNAS! This is a friendly reminder to apply for the SACNAS 
Summer Leadership Institute (SLI) in Washington, DC.

The institute prepares participants to assume leadership roles in the global 
scientific community by offering advanced strategic trainings that develop 
critical leadership skills for underrepresented minority scientists.  Please do 
not miss on this great opportunity. Details of the program are below.

The SLI, developed in collaboration with the American Association for the 
Advancement of Science (AAAS), is an intensive five-day training filled with 
leadership courses, small group exercises, keynote speakers, leadership 
development planning, networking opportunities, and extensive community 
building among selected participants. Led by Dr. Joseph Garcia, Bowman 
Distinguished Professor of Leadership Studies and Director of the Karen W. 
Morse for Leadership at Western Washington University. Co-facilitators are Dr. 
Donna Blancero, Associate Professor of Management, Bentley University and Mr. 
Richard Weibl, Director, Center for Careers in Science and Technology at the 
American Association for the Advancement of Science.  The participants will 
engage in a comprehensive curriculum.

Postdoctoral researchers, faculty and professionals who meet the following 
requirements are encouraged to apply.

* Must be a SACNAS member at the time of application
* Doctorate degree required
* STEM field preferred
* Provide updated Curriculum Vitae (CV)
* Postdocs and professionals in academia, industry, government, and non-profits
