Hi, I have BS degree in Agriculture, an MS in Biology with an ecology emphasis and a great deal of volunteer and a little paid experience doing what could be called field work for ecological/biological studies.
I had some difficulty with USAJOBS bringing my experience and especially education to the attention of HR and hiring managers. Some of the most difficult things to express are when a graduate class may have been called 'Ecology 526' and the whole course was strictly using avian examples. My introductory class in Zoology, 15 weeks, was a whirlwind tour of the animal kingdom in 3 weeks and 12 weeks of reptile and amphibian zoology. In these examples is it OK to call one class ornithology and the other herpetology? Is there a recommended service that can help prepare education and experience for USAJOBS? I have looked for positions within the Department of the Interior's organizations which post jobs where 'wildlife', ecology', biology' are my search terms. Any idea on a good service to help prepare the profile pages etc for these positions? Thanks :-) Alice
