Greetings All, Joanne Nightingale has invited me to co-lead the CEOS/WGCV LPV Land Surface Phenology focus group with Jadu Dash. I happily accepted the offer and look forward to contributing to our LPV activities. For those of you I have not met, I am a Research Scientist at the University of Montana with a current focus on microwave vegetation indices and microwave land surface phenology. The big news however pertains to the next workshop/meeting of the CEOS/WGCV LPV Phenology Working Group. The workshop is scheduled for*Friday September 14, 2012* as a follow-on to the Phenology 2012 Conference (http://www4.uwm.edu/letsci/conferences/phenology2012/index.cfm) in Milwaukee, Wisconsin USA. Please mark your calendars and plan to attend both the Conference and the Phenology Working Group workshop(a website with more details will be available soon). At this point we would like to solicit your input on Focus Area Topics and Speakers/Presentations for the Friday workshop. Involvement from the community is essential, so please share your thoughts and respond to Jadu and I, or the group as a whole. We will incorporate your suggestions into the agenda.
