Hello.
Moosehorn Coverscopes where art thou?
I'm sussing out tools for measuring canopy cover. After having
priced out gear for fisheye photographs and read the terrifically
helpful archived threads on
Ecolog, I'm thinking the moosehorn-type ocular measurement might be
the way to go.
I've been reading details on moosehorn densitometers and found
reference to Moosehorn Coverscopes (Cover Scopes?) sold out of Medford
Oregon but can not find any current/recent web information.
Alternatively, it seems that GRS densitometers are similar
(http://www.grsgis.com/densitometer.html; also broadly available at
e.g., Ben Meadows), perhaps they are now one in
the same?
If anyone has information on the whereabouts of Moosehorn, or thoughts
on what seems to be the classic moosehorn vs. this GRS product this
would be wonderful.
Much thanks,
Meg
