Graduate Study in Plant Biology
The Department of Environmental and Plant Biology, Ohio University, offers graduate programs at the Masters and PhD levels. Areas of study include cell & molecular biology, plant structure/development, phylogeny & evolution, and plant ecology, with particular emphasis on cell wall biochemistry, molecular taxonomy, biological invasions, and community dynamics of the Eastern Deciduous Forest. Ohio University is a medium-sized state university in the small town of Athens, which is nestled in the pretty, forested hills of southeastern Ohio. Teaching and Research Assistantships are available. Although most graduate programs begin in September, applications are welcome at any time.
