I lead the National Park Service DC-based Exotic Plant Management
Team. We are assembling fact sheets for EDRR targets in the National
Capital region. We need help!

We made a list of 35 EDRR targets and have either found or drafted
fact sheets for 14 species. Another 7 are being assembled. That leaves
only 14 to go!

I'm looking for volunteers to assemble one or more fact sheets. The
process should take only a few hours even if you have no knowledge of
the species. This is a great opportunity to get introduced to the
species and get your name on a fact sheet. I have a few volunteers now
who have been very helpful and work totally remotely.

The basic idea is to gather as much information as you possibly can on
the ecology and control of the species for the region and assemble a
one-page fact sheet. The region is Washington DC, Maryland, and
Northern Virginia.

Here is the list of species we still need to do:
Alternanthera philoxeroides (alligatorweed)
Arundo donax (giant reed)
Leucojum aestivum (summer snowflake)
Liriope spicata (creeping liriope)
Reynoutria sachalinensis (giant knotweed, sachaline)
Elaeagnus pungens (thorny olive)
Mahonia bealei (leatherleaf mahonia)
Osmanthus heterophyllus (holly osmanthus)
Rhamnus utilis (Chinese buckthorn)
Rubus bifrons (Himalayan berry)
Pyrus betulifolia (pear)
Quercus acutissima (sawtooth oak)
Styphnolobium japonicum (pagoda tree)
Salix madsudana (Chinese willow)

Please let me know if you are interested.
