dear EcoLoggers,

sorry for this very-loosely-related-to-science question but I'm hoping for
some good advice here... I'm attending the Evolution conference in Ottawa
and will have 2 weeks for travelling afterwards (it ends on 10th July). I'm
mostly interested in natural areas and I love hiking-biking-canoeing, *but *as
I'll be on my own, I feel weary about planning any wilderness trips
(bears!). Does anyone have any recommendations for safe trip options for
lonely travellers, preferably in Ontario and/or Quebec (I'm also open to
other localities at this stage of planning though)? I'd also be happy to
join a nice group :) I've even explored organised trips but all I found is
financially off-limits for me. I'd be hugely grateful for any advice (
[email protected]).

best,
Zofia
