We invite you to submit an abstract to the following AGU session. We are
interested in both
biophysical and social responses to disturbance.

B019: Disturbance Impacts and Responses

Disturbances that alter biophysical, ecohydrological, biogeochemical, and
societal processes are
increasing in frequency and spatial extent. For example, fire, herbivory,
biomass removals, land
cover changes, extreme weather, and invasive species are on the rise with
climate change elevating
the incidence and intensity of many disturbances. This session solicits
abstracts encompassing a
range of disturbance severities, spatial scales, ecosystem types, and research
approaches, in order
to advance broader understanding of responses to and recovery from disturbance.
