I have posted part one of a two-part essay on why neoclassical economics continues to dominate ecological economics on campus, in the boardroom, and in the halls of government (despite the fact that ecological economics has a much stronger foundation of logic and scientific rigor). In part one, I focus on why we find ourselves stuck in an economic framework that undermines ecological systems. In part two, I'll turn to how to get out of this mess.
