Dear Colleagues, I am currently in the process of relocating to Vienna, Austria in the coming months and am starting my job search now. As with other Ecolog posts in the past, I am writing to specifically inquire if you have knowledge of job boards/websites/contacts applicable to the Vienna region. Any advice or potential leads that any of you have for jobs in this general area would be greatly appreciated. Foreign links/job boards related to our field are very hard to find unless you're in the know.
For reference, I received my B.A. in Environmental Studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and my M.S. in Resource Conservation/International Conservation and Development at the University of Montana. I am currently working in Salta, Argentina investigating forest conservation planning/private land conservation options with a US Fulbright-Hays research grant. I am interested in working in the natural resource management, conservation planning, or rural planning and permitting sector (university research, private consultancies, NGOs, governmental agencies)- but am flexible about opportunities. I am fluent in English, proficient in written and spoken Spanish, and am currently studying the German language (albeit very, very basic German at this time).
