Faculty Position: Marine Turtle Biologist


The Department of Biology at the University of Central Florida (UCF) invites 
applications for an open rank, tenure earning or tenured position with 
preference toward the Associate or Full Professor rank.



Successful candidates must have a Ph.D. in a relevant field and a demonstrated 
ability to establish and maintain a vigorous, extramurally-funded research 
program in marine turtle biology. The candidate is expected to continue the 
legacy of the UCF Marine Turtle Research Group at Archie Carr National Wildlife 
Refuge (ACNWR) and environs, which have the highest nesting densities of green 
turtles in the continental United States and loggerheads in the Western 
Hemisphere. As a faculty member, s/he will contribute to the UCF Ph.D. Program 
in Conservation Biology and M.S. programs in Biology, and teach graduate and 
undergraduate courses.
