Hello, Have any of you had any experience with GPS collars that are 300 grams and under? I am shopping around, and have a lot of questions, partly based on past experiences with GPS and telemetry collars.
What brands have been fairly reliable for you, especially in regards to battery life? Has the customer support been adequate, especially for thos of you working in the U.S.? What features were you able to add without the collar being to heavey for your need? Features we are especially interested in are flexible scedule programming, VHS signal in addition to GPS, transmitting of GPS data that can be recovered at least on a monthly basis, ability to remotely release the collar, and ability to make some programming changes in the collar remotely. If there was a release release mechanism that you needed to make use of, was it a reliable process?
