Associate Professor and Chair, Environmental Studies - Roanoke College announces a newly created tenure track line to lead our Environmental Studies program starting in August 2013. We seek an individual with strong interdisciplinary experience in environmental studies who can provide vision and leadership focused both on-campus and to external constituencies. Academic experience is required; additional experience in business, policy, or governmental sectors is valued. A PhD in a science or social science discipline appropriate for environmental studies, a record of excellent teaching and active research are required. Teaching duties will include courses in environmental studies and general education appropriate to the candidate's expertise, with a reduced load for program administration.
