TENURE-TRACK FACULTY SEARCHES IN SCIENCE & MATHEMATICS EDUCATION
in the School of Natural Sciences and Mathematics (SNSM)

SNSM at USF invites applications for four tenure-track faculty positions in 
discipline-specific education research to expand and synergistically 
strengthen ongoing efforts in the SchoolÂ’s Science Education research 
cluster. Current research areas include assessment of student learning and 
attitudes, evaluation of large-scale curricular change, psychometrics, 
investigation of problem-solving and metacognition, quantitative literacy 
and research-based curriculum design and implementation. Each of these 
faculty positions will have a tenure home in one of six constituent 
departments in SNSM including Cell Biology, Microbiology & Molecular 
Biology; Chemistry; Geology; Integrative Biology; Mathematics & Statistics; 
and Physics.  Joint appointments with two departments will be considered for 
applicants with interdisciplinary expertise.  These positions are at the 
Assistant Professor level, but an Associate Professor appointment may be 
considered commensurate with qualifications and experience, and based on the 
availability of funding.  Applicants will be expected to develop a vigorous, 
externally funded research program in the area of science education 
research.

The School of Natural Sciences and Mathematics has 120 full-time faculty 
members with external research funding of $47M.  Further information
