I'm hoping someone can recommend some literature that documents the abundance of compounds in the adenylate pools in algae. I'm wondering how abundant, persistent and/or transient this phosphorus containing class may be (i.e., could it be a fairly large P-pool?). ATP is fairly well documented as a small proportion of overall cell mass, but I'm wondering if the other compounds may, under certain conditions, be more substantive. My literature searches to date have not been very successful.... Thanks much! Brent Bellinger, Ph.D. Post Doctoral Researcher U.S. EPA MED-Duluth
