With Spring just around the corner, now is the time to sign up for online courses in citizen science and start thinking about engaging students in citizen science activities! NEON Citizen Science Academy registration is now open for Winter and Spring courses.
The NEON Citizen Science Academy offers several courses for K-12 formal and informal educators wanting to incorporate citizen science into their educational programs. *COURSES CURRENTLY OFFERED:* *Intro to Project BudBurst for Educators* provides an overview to support implementation in a variety of educational venues. Winter session: January 29 – February 27 | Spring session: March 26 – April 24 *How to use Project BudBurst Data in the Classroom* is the follow-up course in which educators learn how to use the new National Geographic Field Scope tools which will allow you to visualize and analyze Project BudBurst data through a user-friendly, web-based interface. Winter session: January 29 – February 27 | Spring session: March 26 – April 24 For those interested in teacher re-certification, all of our courses can be taken for 2 optional, graduate level continuing education credits from Colorado School of Mines.
