Hello All,
It is not the discussion of gender issues that I find fault with. It is a very
important discussion. I find fault with the hijacking of this forum for that
discussion and the subtle bashing of academia, graduate education, scientists,
the tenure system, women in science, men in science, etc.

If someone could provide me with a list serve that focuses on ecology as a
science and job and education opportunities for my students I would appreciate
it.

And for the young women out there, there are many examples of successful women
in science with and without families. There are many ways to balance ones
work commitments, ones science commitments and something that sustains the
soul like family or community or ............Don't let anyone tell you that
the only way to do it is their way.
