DEADLINE: APRIL 15, 2013 The Hughes and Kimbro labs at Northeastern University's Marine Science Center invite applications for a Postdoctoral position in marine ecology. The successful applicant will be given freedom to develop their own research questions in collaboration with the PIs and other lab members, so interested applicants are first encouraged to familiarize themselves with our research (http://www.northeastern.edu/hughes; http://kimbrolab.weebly.com/). A Ph.D. in ecology or a closely related field is required. We particularly encourage applications from candidates that have recently completed, or will soon complete, their PhD. Ideal candidates will have broad field ecology experience in marine systems. In addition, previous experience with standard molecular genetic protocols involving DNA extraction, PCR amplification, and the ability to utilize the core sequencing facilities are strongly preferred. The successful candidate will have excellent demonstrated writing, presentation, and statistical analysis skills, and have experience conducting large field projects. The position is for TWO YEARS and can begin as early as 1 MAY 2013 and no later than 1 SEPTEMBER 2013. It has an annual starting salary of $45,000 plus benefits.
