My MS research deals with the use of hayed and non-hayed Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) fields by grassland birds in MO. In order to conduct this research I received a list of CRP landowners in the county from the local Farm Services Agency office. I then had to obtain the landowners' permission to access their lands. I am doing a side project related to my MS thesis research regarding the willingness of private landowners to grant access for research of any kind. I am giving a talk at a small local meeting on my results, and would like to include the opinions of people in ecological disciplines regarding this subject.
