ESA's Field Talk podcast has a new episode out. "Changing climate, changing landscape: monitoring the vast wilderness of interior Alaska" http://www.esa.org/fieldtalk/?p=235
What will climate change mean for the forests of interior Alaska? Alaska National Park Service ecologist Carl Roland has an ongoing monitoring program in place across the Central Alaska Network. He and his colleagues in the Inventory and Monitoring program have just published baseline data from the first decade of sampling in Denali on the distribution and abundance of southcentral Alaska's six tree species.
