an independent research group and play a central role building the
marine science program at OIST. OIST emphasizes integrative research

OIST has 46 faculty members and over 200 researchers, with
opportunities for collaboration in a wide range of fields including
life sciences, physical sciences and computational sciences.  The
campus has an extensive array of state-of-the-art instrumentation,
which is managed so as to encourage easy access and collaborative
research.

Applicants should have a PhD or equivalent degree, and have
demonstrated excellence and imagination in research.  Successful
