Hello Janean, We have used the Industrial Sharpie on Sherman Traps and a variety of exterior labels. The standard Sharpie doesn't last very well. There are also several paint pens that perform well. These are available at hardware stores, office supply stores, welding and industrial supply and some art supply stores. Common brands are Forney, Decocolor, Markall and Sharpie has started a line of them although I've never used them.

Options so far have been spray paint, metal stamping, Sharpie marker, even using an adhesive label. I would like a method that is quick, inexpensive, does not interfere with the functioning of the trap and relatively permanent. I am leaning towards spray paint. Does anyone have any experience with any of these methods? Feel free to message me off list. Thanks! Janean
