Dear list members,

I am currently working on a project using C and N stable isotope analysis to determine the foraging behaviour of small mammals collected from Honduras. I have a small number of putative prey items including seeds, fruits and funghi which I would also like to include as SIA samples. However, to do so the laboratory that will run my samples require an estimate of %C and %N to allow for appropriate standard preparation.

I was wondering if any list members might have some data on %N and %C for these types of prey items, particularly from tropical forests, that they would be willing to share. Species is not so much of an issue at this point, I am mainly interested in getting an idea of the range of values.

Many thanks in advance for any help you can provide
