The Groundwater Wetlands Study Group continues to grow with 125 members in
23 countries. Last month's (May 2103)image was of Skunk Cabbage
(Symplocarpus foetidus) in Hanging Bog, Linn County, Iowa (USA)by Study
Group member Judy Joyce. The term 'Hanging Bog,' stimulated considerable
conversation about groundwater wetlands classification systems. The June
image is a stream in the west of San Carlos de Bariloche, Patagonia fed
along its course by 54 springs. Additional discussion included topics such
as the nature and use of data loggers, a member's visit to springs in the
Rio Grande Gorge, and other subjects. For information on membership in the
Groundwater Wetlands Study Group contact Tom Baugh [email protected].
