Greetings Ecolog-ers, I am looking for post-grad work in Southeast Asia. I anticipate graduating this coming fall 2014 with a M.S. in Biology and want to get a head start making contacts with potential research teams, or non-profit organizations.
My thesis involves evaluating functional processes as measurements of estuarine restoration within the extreme south Texas Gulf Coast estuaries. Post-graduation I will be traveling to Southeast Asia for an extended period. I am interested in Asian wetland restoration and would like the opportunity to assist a research team or non-profit while I am visiting. If you are looking for an assistant or able to share any contacts with me, it would be much appreciated and I am more than willing to submit my resume and CV. Skills and Experience to offer include: operating small water craft, SCUBA, deploying/operating data loggers, analyzing benthic samples, operating hand-held data loggers (e.g. YSI, HACH), GPS navigation, sampling flying invertebrates, plant transects and collections, avian surveys, over two years experience as an Environmental Educator, two years experience as a Park Interpreter/Ranger for Texas Parks and Wildlife. Thank you in advance for any contacts I might gain from this post.
